Los Angeles Unified, PBS SoCal | KCET, and KLCS-TV have partnered to provide free supplemental educational resources to help your family support learning during the school closures. This multi-platform initiative includes Pre-K–12 educational programming and robust online resources through the online platform PBS LearningMedia. The resources are free and designed to be used by public schools throughout California to help students continue learning at home.

Dear Norwood Community,

Effective Monday, March 16th LAUSD will close all schools for two weeks. Instructional packets were sent home today with your child.

During this time, please take care of yourself and your families. When we return, together we’ll continue our partnership to ensure that your child has a successful school year.

As you may have heard by now, Superintendent Beutner issued new restrictions which can be found at https://achieve.lausd.net/

Given the new restrictions the following will be cancelled until further notice:
Monthly Student Awards Assemblies
Field Trips
All parent workshops (Ready, Set & Read; Vaping; LAP Read; Colon Cancer Awareness; Kid Watch CPR)
Coffee with the Principal
Open House

What will continue:
SSPT & IEP meetings
SSC & ELAC meetings

A parent and student resource handout will be sent home by Friday, March 13, 2020.
